I Give an extra $40!
The
IG40 campaign is a unique fundraising initiative
that began the celebrations of Historic Wilmington Foundation's
40th Anniversary year in 2006.
IG40 is shorthand for I
Give (an extra) $40 a Year in a new donation. The
campaign was announced and opened at the Foundation's Annual Meeting in January
2006 and has raised over $3000 so far. The distinctive decal you receive for your donation The campaign raises new money for a small number of
very specific community outreach programs designed to give HWF maximum impact in our service
area, to generate goodwill, and to facilitate new preservation
efforts. The programs that will directly benefit from IG40
include a small preservation grants initiative, the Repair Affair program,
and certain educational programs.
Members and supporters can clearly see the impact
of contributions to this campaign. If only half of our membership
donated $40.00 we would generate more than $15,000 and,
if we dream big, the sky is the limit! Historic
Wilmington Foundation raised almost $1,000 during the first week
of the campaign!
